The fishing the past week has been on fire! Tons of snook, huge reds and big gator trout! Sharks are all over and I’m even seeing some tarpon. March is shaping up to be one drag screaming good time!

Boca Grande Tarpon Fishing season is only a month or so away and with the numbers of fish I am already seeing, this season is shaping up to be a good one. I am already over half way booked for April, May and June so if you are wanting to fish with me this year you need to start planning soon.
Boca Grande Fishing Charters
The BIG Reds have been chewing like mad on Boca Grande fishing charters the past few weeks. I have had a bunch of 20-40 fish days and a ton of fish well over the 30″ mark and weighing as much as 20lbs! Those are pretty big fish for this area and the redfish fishing should actually get even better as we get further into March and April. Live bait has definitely been the key but the Topwater bite first thing in the morning has been pretty awesome as well.
March is always a big snook month in the Boca Grande area and this year is no different. My Boca Grande fishing charters have been consistently having 20-50 fish day! Most of the fish are averaging 24″-26″ range and weighing around 5 lbs but I have had quit a few fish over 20lbs recently! As with the Reds live bait has been the key to getting good numbers of snook recently.
The Big trout have also been making a good showing recently. I have had a number of 20-40 keeper fish days and a ton of fish in the 3lb-6lb range. If your looking to catch some big trout March and April are hard to beat!
In the mixed bag, Sharks, pompano, big sheepshead and Spanish mackerel have all been hitting fairly well and they are just adding to all the rod bending action that march has to offer!
