Cape Coral Fishing Charters
Cape Coral fishing charters for redfish have been pretty good lately. Despite the colder weather I have continued to catch some really nice reds. This is a great time to fish with shrimp and it has been working fairly well although cut ladyfish and pinfish have also been getting the job done. I have only been averaging 5-15 reds a day but most of the fish have been any where from 6 lbs. to 15 lbs. Some days I’m having a hard time catching keepers because they are all too BIG, but no one is complaining! Live shrimp and cut bait has been the best but artificial and fly have both been getting their fair share.
Just like every February the big trout will be on the menu during our Cape Coral fishing charters. Every year around this time we catch a lot of big trout and this year is no exception. I continue to catch a lot of keeper trout and consistently have been getting fish in the 3lb-6lb range. 50 fish days have been very common and and getting a nice limit for the dinner table has been fairly easy.
Snook fishing has slowed up towards the end of January due to the cold temperatures. The forecast for the first week of February shows highs in the 80’s all week so that is going to change pretty quick! By the end of this month the snook fishing should be on fire and that action will continue into March.
In the mixed bag sheepshead, pompano and flounder have been continuing to make an appearance lately during our Cape Coral fishing charters. This is not only a nice surprise to catch but it also makes for some really good table fare!
