I’m Captain Danny Latham — a full-time Boca Grande fishing guide who spends over 250 days a year on the water. Fishing isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am. For more than 25 years, I’ve built ReelFishing Charters on hard work, honesty, and a deep love for the waters of Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor, and Southwest Florida.

I’ve been guiding anglers from around the country for decades, and while I’ve competed in over 50 major tournaments nationwide, I’ve since retired from the traveling circuit. These days, I focus on the local Boca Grande and Charlotte Harbor tournaments, often while being chartered by my loyal clients. My competitive spirit is still alive — just a little closer to home.

As a fourth-generation Floridian, I was born and raised right here in Southwest Florida. I’m married to my high-school sweetheart, and we have two amazing daughters who now get to share these waters with their own children — my grandkids, who are quickly becoming the sixth generation to love this coast as much as I do.

This area isn’t just where I work — it’s home. I take pride in being a true local Boca Grande fishing guide, not someone who showed up, bought a boat, and started running ads. I’ve spent my life learning these tides, flats, and passes — and I still learn something new every single day.

With almost three decades of guiding experience and over 30 years of tournament fishing, I know that time on the water is the best teacher. Every sunrise brings a new challenge and a new opportunity to help guests experience the thrill of catching their dream fish — whether it’s a Tarpon, Snook, or Redfish.
